2020 kicks off with the new California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) that gives Californians the most sweeping, comprehensive and empowering consumer privacy rights in the country. This unprecedented victory stems from the fundamental belief that your personal information has value, and that the decisions regarding what to do with it should be yours.  AB-375 will provide the critical precedent for state and federal government to legislate similar fundamental privacy rights.

The arrival of needed US government legislations to establish sustainable consumer data privacy laws will lead to opportunities for companies to build proprietary first-mover advantage in “digital network data rights and identity management” assets with a concentration on digital identity authentication technologies.

Head over to www.npr.org to learn more on California's new digital privacy law that took effect on Jan. 1, 2020.
